Body Shop - Darkening Shade Adjusting Drops

We all know the struggle is real when peruding the Isles of boots/SuperDrug etc. Trying to find a new foundation, swatches all over but due to the 'wonderful' artificial lighting in these shops the shade match is rarely completely matched.  Another annoyance is having to change up your foundation shade depending on the season, more tanned in the summer and paler in the colder months, no need to worry about either of these problems anymore. The Body Shop has recently launched shade adjusting drops, one to darken and one to lighten just a few drops added to your foundation can change the shade completely to match your skin tone perfectly. I have recently come back from Rome and watched a slight colour, this product came in handy, ideal for holidays you can darken your foundation every day if you'd like to give that extra drop of colour. The formulation is super smooth and opaque and doesn't effect the finish of your foundation, if the formulation is matte it will stay matte, if it is more dewy it won't dry out your skin. This product is multi purpose as it can also be used as a liquid contour with its ashy brown colour, amazing blendability and just the right amount of pigment.

Like i said there is also a lightening formula to do the opposite job which i haven't yet got my hands on.  Pick yours up now for just £10.00 here

Beauty Bay - Best Of Miami Beauty Box

There is something exciting about a beauty box, when i saw Beauty Bay had launched some new beauty boxes to celebrate the American holiday the Forth Of July i was pumped.

Both boxes are based on some of the best of US makeup brands, there are 2 different looks available. One based on a glamorous night out in Miami and the other for golden vibes of a summer spent in LA. Both boxes include blush, contour, eye shadow, liquid lipsticks, lip liner and setting spray. And include some amazing born in the USA beauty brands including Gerard Cosmetics, L.A Splash, Makeup Geek and Anastasia Beverly Hills. The price tag is reasonable at £59 (box is worth £84) and includes free delivery.

After much deliberation i went for the Miami box as i thought i would get the most use out of it.

Meeting My Love - Sephora

Since i first got into makeup i knew Sephora would be my one true love, unfortunately living in the UK and not travelling to any countries that have Sephora i have been deprived of its beauty. I am aware they now ship to the UK but online makeup shopping concerns me as i know i would end up purchasing something 7 shades to dark/light from what i actually need. I recently travelled to Rome for my birthday and made sure i had all the locations mapped out. I feel slightly ashamed as the first thing i did when we got in the taxi at the airport was give the taxi driver the address for the nearest Sephora, oh my poor husband. Anyways onto the products, a lot of the items stocked we can get in the UK so i concentrated on the own brand products as I've heard wonderful things.

Ive been home a week or so and have had the time to try these babies out and thought i would give my thoughts on some of my favs, i mainly want to rave about the Sephora high coverage concealer, i was instantly impressed as it is super high coverage but really creamy and easy to blend. I picked mine up in porcelain pink which is lovely for fair to medium skin to highlight under the eyes, down the bridge of the nose etc. This product really reminded me of the NARS Creamy Concealer but higher coverage, after wearing this all day under 32 degree heat i was delighted to see no creasing or smudging, a massive thumbs up from me.

The foundation was another product i will rave to my gal pals too, i picked up the 10hr wear foundation, which is high coverage and oil free. this product didn't feel too heavy on my skin and definitely didn't cake or make me look flat. It managed to cover all my redness and uneven skin tone with just one thin layer making my base look flawless.

Not that i am in need of any more lip products however i am super in love with the Sephora cream lip satin in the shade 06, VERY similar in texture to the NYX matte lip creams this baby applied like a dream, its a beautiful dusty pink shade perfect for every day makeup looks. I found it extremely moisturising on the lips, very opaque on first swipe and although i had to touch up throughout the day, its so easy to apply so i wasn't that fussed.

Whats your favourite buys from Sephora ??

New Beauty Launches Worth Checking Out

Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation £30.00
Now the weathers getting warmer and the days are getting longer i imagine everyone and there mums want a more glowy brighter looking base, this new foundation from Stila ticks those boxes and more. infused with ionised water and hyaluronic acid and minerals this helps add natural glow to the complexation. whether your looking for a sheer bace or full coverage this foundation can give you both of those, although ultra lightweight its extremely buildable. Enriched with serum this helps fill in pores and masks fine lines.

Glam Glow Gravity Mud £45.00

This peel off formula mask is the first from this brand, therefore automatically makes this product very interesting. Smooth over the pina colada scented peel with the enclosed brush leave for 30 minutes until fully died and peel off,  once the treatment dries the white formula shifts to metallic chrome. Infused with marshmellow and liquorice extract and hyaloronic acid this will leave skin firm, bright and smooth. This product has been out in the US for a few months, unfortunately the UK is still awaiting on a sale date.

Foreo Luna Play £29.00

This new release seriously excites me, the Foreo Luna has been really popular this last year or so taking over the hype from the clarasonic. If your not familiar with this product its a sonic face brush to use in conjuction with your cleanser to cleanse your face, the full size product was a more expensive £89. The company has now come out with a mini version at a much more affordable price. Although the size of a cotton pad, this product is just as effective as the full size, according to the company itself this little gem will get rid of 99.5% of any dirt, oil and makeup for a bright clearer complexation, also tackling fine lines and enlarged pores. At around £50 cheaper there is one flaw, the original version is rechargeable therefore the life span was a lot more promising, when it comes to the Luna Play this product IS NOT rechargeable therefore once this baby runs out of power its time to chuck it in trash. According to top beauty blogger Fleur De Force a single charge will still last you around 100 uses so depending on how often you use it will depend on how long it lasts. I still think this is a great product, a good way of checking out these beauties without having to splash out of the hefty price tag and due to its size its a lot more travel friendly.

Beauty Blender - Liner Designer and Beauty Blusher (Both £14.00 each)]

Since i started using BB products i do absolutely think it has made makeup application easier and everything i have used from them i religiously use every day, I'm sure these 2 products will also find there way into my everyday makeup routine.
Firstly, the Liner Designer should be a must have for everyone whether your the expect eyeliner applicator or the complete opposite. This silicone guide gadget helps achieve the perfect winged liner every time with 3 edges to guide your liner to the exact right place. Whats more the mirrored compact that comes with it has a suction cup that adheres to almost any surface leaving hands free for expert lining.
Beauty Blusher being the next new launch from the company, of the size between the original and the micro mini BB makes this the perfect size for precise blush/bronze application. The rounded bottom makes application mistake proof, just 'bounce' this tool in cream or powder and 'bounce' onto the apples of the cheeks for the perfect 'soft focus' finish. Just like the original, dampen sponge, ring out the excess moisture and your good to go.

Tarte Blockbuster Collection

Tarte is one beauty brand I've not used as much as others, mainly due to the fact in the UK its not as accessible as others, recently though QVC has started to stock a lot of Tarte products and whilst having a browse just before christmas i came across this palette which really intrigued me, i loved the concept of having a sort of palette inside a palette. When taking make up traveling or on a day out  its not always practical to lump around a huge palette especially when your only wearing one or 2 colours it feels quite unnecessary so i thought i would give this a whirl,

initially the packaging is really nice, luxurious and sturdy if you really wanted to you could take the whole box with you. The set itself contains a mini of the iconic Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in1 mascara (which personally i wasn't a massive fan of) a full size Lip Serge Lip Cream in Ravishing a
pinky rose shade, nicely pigmented and very moisturising, doesn't last too long on the lips but very easy to touch up throughout the day and 4 portable palettes including 4 Amazonian Clay Blushes and 16 Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows. Each portable palette sports a different neutral yet diverse eye look from a grey/black rich smoky eye to a sparkly nude or throw in something a bit different with a plum taupe or light pink. Match that together with the blush that comes with each set of shadows and your good to go.

All shadows and blushes are super pigmented, easy to blend and feel buttery to touch, with the protective palette that does also include a mirror allows you to easily take the collection of your choice on travels or in your handbag, overall a amazing set with so much product for your money £35.00, get yours now on QVC.

Spa Like Skin

You know that feeling when you step out of a full body massage and your skin feels brand new, super soft, cleansed and nourished, well I've just found that feeling in a bottle.. thank you Emma Hardie.

The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Luxurious Body Cleaner is not just a mouthful to say but it truly is an amazing luxurious product. infused with shea butter this shower cream is super moisturising that if your in a rush or feeling particularly lazy not moisturising after isn't such a bad thing, it includes a double sided buffing cloth to gently buff and exfoliate skin to revive and soften the body. smother over skin and add water to encourage the product to foam, feels even more spa like due to the aromatic uplifting essential oils of Mandarin, Jasmine, Bergamot and Rose. I haven't seen much hype around this product but it definitely deserves some recognation for giving your skin that extra bit of moisture, for me will be an absolute essential for this autumn/winter, get your hands on this beauty for just £26.00 here.
